ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Willdan Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WLDN) today announced that it has been selected by Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to implement its inaugural Lodging Direct Install (LDI) energy efficiency program, which serves PSE's lodging customers throughout the utility's 6,000-square mile service area. This is the first time the two-year program has been offered by PSE. The total value of the two-year contract is $2.8 million.

"Willdan works with hospitality owners, brands, and management groups across the country, and we understand how to support this unique vertical market," commented Tom Brisbin, President/CEO of Willdan. "This sector-specific experience - together with our deep understanding of new and innovative energy efficiency technologies - enables us to assist lodging customers in making strategic investment decisions related to their energy use."

The LDI program is projected to deliver 6.18 million kilowatt-hours in electric energy savings and 266,000 therms of natural gas energy savings to PSE lodging customers. The program approach features a broad array of personalized service offerings including direct installation of no-cost and low-cost lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration measures for small or limited-service hotels. For larger and full-service hotels, the program offers compensation towards comprehensive energy efficiency audits when circumstances warrant detailed measure identification and energy savings analysis. Willdan's commitment to actively engage trade allies to augment the installation services component of the LDI program can enable the program to effectively support PSE's lodging customers across a region that is both broad and diverse.
