Caruthers Park Stormwater Capture

Caruthers Stormwater Capture Project

Willdan provides construction management, public works observation, and concrete materials testing services for this $13 million technologically advanced stormwater project in Caruthers Park in Los Angeles County, which was featured in APWA Insight Magazine Second Quarter 2019. One of the first of its kind, this regional stormwater capture facility will redirect dry and wet weather runoff from the storm drain and open channel through diversion and pretreatment systems, using Best Management Practices to significantly reduce water pollutants and to store and reuse water for the park and larger community.

Davis Streetscape Improvements

Third Street Streetscape Improvements

Willdan provided public works inspection, resident engineering, Caltrans invoicing, material testing, and labor compliance services for this federally funded project. The project beautified and upgraded the streetscape along Third Street between A Street and B Street. It won the APWA Sacramento Chapter 2019 Project of the Year award in the Transportation-Streetscape category. This award recognized excellence in management, administration, design, sustainability, construction, and community relations, as well as strong alliance among the managing agency, designer, contractor, and construction management team.
