Willdan has been part of the City and County of San Francisco (CCSF) team for over a decade, providing comprehensive solutions in support of renewable energy, advanced generation, and energy efficiency strategies for the implementation of the CCSF Electricity Resource Plan. Over the past 10 years, Willdan staff have played a key role in many of the most important programs and projects implemented by the San Francisco Public Utility Commission (SFPUC), Hetch Hetchy Water and Power System, and the San Francisco Department of the Environment.

This work has included the development and support of SFPUC energy efficiency programs, including Upgrade for Savings, Blueprint for Savings, and Modeling for Savings. Willdan serves as the key technical firm on the team that delivered the feasibility assessment and evaluation study for San Francisco’s Community Choice Aggregation program Clean Power San Francisco, providing Energy Audits, Performance Specifications, and Construction Management Services, LEED and Green Building Commissioning Services for City facilities, and support for the City’s Measurement and Verification program. As a trusted partner of CCSF, Willdan is prepared to continue to improve San Francisco’s energy infrastructure to support progressive long-term goals.

The City of Elk Grove selected Willdan to design and manage the installation of a lighting system upgrade that reduced costs and improved lighting. Willdan developed a comprehensive street lighting system upgrade to transition all existing high pressure sodium (HPS) lights to light emitting diodes (LED). We developed specifications, managed a competitive bidding process to select subcontractors, and ensured that the project was completed on-time, on-budget, and in line with the design engineer’s intent.
