The California Energy Efficiency Industry Council (CEEIC) has appointed Paul Whitelaw, Senior Vice President at Willdan, to the 2017-2019 CEEIC Board of Directors.
The Mission of the Efficiency Council is to support energy efficiency and demand response policies and programs for all Californians to create sustainable jobs, long-term economic vitality, stable and reasonably priced energy systems, and environmental improvement. The new slate of directors was recommended by the CEEIC Nominations Committee after interviewing nominees and selected those who: possess the desired level of experience and industry presence, will fully participate on the working Board, complement the collaborative nature of the Board, and balance the Board’s representation of the Council’s membership.
Paul Whitelaw has led energy efficiency programs and operations for Willdan Energy Solutions in the western U.S. before recently taking on responsibility for Business Development across the nation. Prior to his new national business development role, he managed third-party energy efficiency programs for SDG&E, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Pacific Gas and Electric, and Puget Sound Energy, as well as partnership programs for schools, municipalities, utilities and private clients.
Mr. Whitelaw heads Willdan’s business development activities, which encompass a range of technical engineering assistance and program implementation services for utility, municipal and private sector companies. With more than 20 years of operations and business development experience, he holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
