Craig Owens, Senior Program Manager for Willdan Energy Solutions, presented to the California Society of Healthcare Engineers, Inc (CSHE) San Diego Chapter meeting held on September 11, 2013, and hosted by San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) at their Energy Innovation Center. Mr. Owens presented an overview of the Healthcare Energy Efficiency Program (HEEP) that Willdan manages for SDG&E. Through HEEP Willdan helps healthcare facilities identify and implement energy efficiency projects that not only help them save energy but also save money.

Highlighted during the presentation was a case study for a Kaiser facility that was able to reduce their electricity usage by 14% and natural gas usage by 23% through HEEP. These projects are saving Kaiser more than $102,000 per year.
